Use on its own or mix with Akadama and Lava Rock to create a premium free-draining bonsai substrate.

A popular general-purpose starting mix is:

1 part Akadama + 1 part Pumice + 1 part Lava Rock

The ideal ratio can be adjusted depending on the tree species, climate and watering requirements.
